Basic troubleshooting commands

To find out which domain a user is logged into
set U
To find out which domain controller a user is connected to
Set L
To find out which active directory site user is connected to

nltest /dsgetsite

To list dc’s in the environment

netdom query dc

To discover where fsmo role holders are

netdom query fsmo

To see if DC connectivity is healthy from the domain joined machine

dcdiag /s:”enter FQDN of DC here”

To list which ports are listening

netstat -an | find /i “listening”

To see statistics of LAN and Route Table

Netstat -Reports
