System Center Management Health Service Unloaded System Rule(s)

Recently came across this critical alert in my scom console:-

system center mgmt health service

This was fixed by stopping the healthservice (System Center Management service)

Delete the health service state folder C:\Program Files\System Center Operations Manager 2007\Health Service State

Finallly start the healthservice (System Center Management service)

After doing this the alert self healed and all was good

One Response to System Center Management Health Service Unloaded System Rule(s)

  1. The most common reason rules are unloaded are due to insufficient resources. The agent or management server does not have the power to run all rules properly. Be sure to check out http://blogs.technet.com/b/mgoedtel/archive/2010/08/24/performance-optimizations-for-operations-manager-2007-r2.aspx from Matt Goedtel. In the first section ‘Management Server Health Service – OM 2007 R2’ shows which registry values can be modified to give the Health Service a kick. This applies to 2007 mostly since they have already been increased in 2012.
