If you have installed the Exchange 2010 MP in your SCOM management group you may have experienced miscellaneous alerts relating to the extest account not being able to execute powershell on some of your Exchange Servers?
Namely alerts like:–
NonServiceImpacting: WebServices connectivity (Internal) transaction failure – The credentials can’t be used to test Web Services.
After months and months of troubleshooting I finally found a fix and if you are experiencing similar issues, hopefully this fix that worked for me will work for you as well.
It transpired that the Regional Settings on the Exchange servers that were alerting were built with different Regional Settings than the others.
So my DC’s, SCOM Servers and most of my Exchange servers were all using the UK Regional and Language Settings except for a couple of my Exchange servers which had US Regional Settings configured on them.
After changing the Regional settings on the aforesaid Exchange servers from US to UK so that they matched the Regional Settings on my DC’s, SCOM Servers and other Exchange servers the alerts were resolved!
So the fix is ensure that the regional and language settings on your DC’s, SCOM servers and Exchange servers are all the same.
NOTE:-It doesn’t have to be UK as long as the regional settings are the same.
